    Hi Cikgu Yap ,
I found this page of yours is very useful .
I took my jpj test today , and i failed on the road test .
And the reason is because i’m weak at shifting gears .
I’ll get panicked whenever there’s a turn and roundabouts .
I’m on the 3rd gear when i make a turn and about to enter the main road when all the sudden there’s a lot of cars and i decided to stop and change to 2nd gear . And the jpj tester asked me what gear am i using , so i thought maybe he asked me to change the gear to the 1st gear . I did and the engine just died
So , now i am really confuse of what am i suppose to do in this type of situation .
Which gear should i really use and what should i really do if i’m on the 3rd gear and am about to make a turn and roundabouts ?
My car engine died twice when i put it on 1st gear from the 2nd gear .
and any tips for this problem ?
When is the suitable time to use 1st gear ?
And should i be using 4rd gear after all ?
I need help , i’m about to retake the test in a week ..

And i forgotten to mention that i used Viva for the test and i found out it was quite difficult to be handled especially the clutch and the Gear stick . And most student failed when they get Viva than the student who got Kancil . Any tips for this too ?

From the looks of things, you have not been well prepared for your practical test yet. I suggest more road practice be conducted by your instructor. Avoid faulting the car used.
