In the future, write to this blog earlier. The instructor should explain explicitly what to do at a junction. Amongst things to do briefly at T or cross junction are:
a) Stop 2 meter before line.
b) Free gear and pull up handbrake.
c) Look right, look left and then right again before coming out.
d) Should traffic come from either side, do not move out. Put on your signals before moving out.

In the future, do write to me a little sooner. Overall, I see your training given by your instructor appears weak.

The only alternative is for you to learn more times. The same applies to your unfamiliar knowledge of the test route. Learn more!

I failed my on the road exam by just a point. My only failure was lack of confidence in the gear. Because of that it's been killing my confidence in driving. I have a retake soon, if i fail my retake, then my L would expire, that's alot of pressure. How do I overcome this problem?

Also, i’m not confident on the routes because i’m taking it in an unfamiliar area.

It is best if you don't forget the prescribed route. As to whether you'll be assessed upon your driving ability alone, I'm not certain. If I were the tester, I certainly would.
