How To Pass J.P.J. Class D Driving Practical Test

Failing J.P.J. Class D (Car) Practical Test

This article will be straight forward, addressing the question “Why does a student fail to pass his or her Class D (Car) License?”

You Fail because you can’t get through:

1) Part I – Slope (3 minutes given)

2) Part II – Side Parking (5 minutes given) , 3 Point Turn (3 minutes given)

3) Part III – Road Test or Jalanraya test (approximately 10 – 15 minutes)

Clear “all” 3 aspects, and the C.D.L. (Competent Driver’s License) is yours.

People say “it’s easier said than done”. But the fact is, “It can be done!”

Before appearing for, the first two parts, Part I (slope) test and Part II (side parking), you have to “psyche” yourself.

What exactly is “psyche”?

The word actually means “telling yourself mentally that you can do it”.

Concentrate only on Part I alone. Think about Part I (slope). Nothing else.

Step enough petrol, go for the big yellow lines. Ensure the entire front tyre land on the yellow lines.

If you fail the 1st time, don’t worry! There is yet another 2nd time for you.

This time around, aim carefully for the yellow line!

After completing Part I (slope), think “positive”. Think this. Nothing else! Tell yourself, if I get through “side parking”, the license shall be mine.

Remember all the steps you have learnt for side parking. Do it properly. As if your life depends on it.

With such determination, you’ll definitely succeed!

The next part (3 point turn) is actually the easiest, yet the most difficult!

Come out of the side parking, “cautiously”, very slowly, yet carefully.

Don’t be over confident. Your license is nearly in your hands.

Tell yourself this. A few seconds more, and the license will be mine!

The 3 Point Turn

Be extra careful, when turning the steering. Turn all to the right. Again, all to the left. When stopping, step on the brakes. Don’t let the car move at all.

Coming out of the 3 point turn, make sure the engine does not stall.

The D license is now yours.

Well, you have done it. It’s all in your mind. “Psyche” yourself and believe me, you can do it! Congratulation.

Well, then move on to Part III – which is the next part, the Road Test or Jalan Raya. We shall discuss this in the next blog post.

i had my jpj test yesterday … but unlucky i had failed part 3… the tester is so strict …badly , yesterday it’s raining heavily …so , the road that i use yesterday is not the actual one that usually use for jpj test …so , i can’t imagine that road ….so SAD …=(

The authorities have to ensure drivers can drive up to a certain safe standard. Rain and your inability to recognise the route demanded by the tester is not an excuse for your failing. Your instructor should have better prepared you for the test.

This is very helpful. Mind if I ask, how can a candidate conquer the simpang Z? It seems to be the toughest in the practicals.
    Thank you.
