Stories of Unfortunate Incidents

This is an incident which I heard that happened near Hilton Hotel, Petaling Jaya traffic light.

A few years ago, two well Filipino singers, twin brothers Michael and Angelo, known at the Ninja Turtles from Manila had a quarrel with a group of ruffians.

This unfortunately led the ruffians tailing them for quite a distance and finally overtaking them at another traffic junction ahead. When the lights turned red, the ruffian alighted and assaulted the twin brother violently. One of the twin brothers was stabbed with either a bearing scrapper or an ice pick and he died as a result of his lungs being punctured.

The most memorable incident I vividly still remember must surely be the unfortunate incident which happened to my cousin’s wife. It happened a few years ago and took place then at a medical centre in Jalan Telok Gadong, Klang. My cousin’s wife was one day about to visit her mother-in-law who was incidentally my aunt.

My cousin’s wife had parked her car at the medical centre’s parking lot nearby. She was reportedly accosted by a young Chinese gangster who demanded the keys to her car. As the saying goes, “Value your life, never your money”.

My cousin brother’s wife refused to hand over the car keys to her car. It was a stupid act on her part, I would say. The gangster then shot her point blank in her head and she died instantly. The above incident was reported extensively in the afternoon’s newspaper. It shocked the entire population of Klang town. Do believe what I am saying as it is indeed a sad, but nonetheless true story.

Why have I chosen to share with you these stories? Well, the purpose in reality is simple. I am trying my best to impress upon you to be careful and take necessary precautions towards safety.

Here’s another story that happened nearby recently. The residents of Klang have responded to incidents of snatch thefts by setting up neighborhood gated society. In such places, 4- to 50 houses employ guards at entrances of housing estates. According to a guard, Dollah, who hail from Rantau Panjang, Klang, incidents of snatch thefts have significantly been reduced since the concept was introduced.

However, some people seem to disagree with gated societies. They believe it causes much difficulty to residents and restrict movements. But such societies are safer in fact.

There was a case when a tuition teacher, Ms. Lim Peh Ching was unfortunately hurt rather badly when she suffered a snatch theft that happened in Klang. I would like to remind motorists, they should ensure vehicles should ideally be filled up with petrol prior to being driven.

If Ms. Lim had followed my suggestion, she wouldn’t have suffered a breakdown and she would not have met with the snatch theft in the first place anyway. Do think about this suggestion seriously.
