If you are an employer in Malaysia and you have a tax paying employee who is leaving the country, it is your responsibility to inform the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) or the Inland Revenue Board Of Malaysia.
To do so, you have to submit the Form CP21.
Officially, Form CP21 is known as Notification by Employer of Departure from the Country of an Employee.
In Bahasa Malaysia, it is known as Borang Pemberitahuan Oleh Majikan Bagi Pekerja Yang Hendak Meninggalkan Malaysia.
Note: This form has to be submitted by the employer not less than 1 month before the expected date of departure.
Inside the form, you are required to fill in the following:
- Employer’s name and address
- Employer’s number
- Employer’s phone number
- Particulars of employee who will be leaving Malaysia
- Income of preceding years not declared
- Other particulars
- Declaration by authorise officer
