According to the Geneva Conference (1949 & 1968), Sri Lankan license can be used for a reasonable period of time in Malaysia. Bring along translation of your license in English or Bahasa Malaysia.

my license is the newer type of license in sri lanka, with the credit-card type magnetic data strip.
