Normally, locations of hearing cannot be altered. If a summons is compounded, it is unnecessary to attend court hearing. Usually 10 demerit points is given for P offences. if strictly followed, it bods to disqualification of your P license. As such you’ll have to sit for a retest.

A PG 1 directive is JPJ directive to offenders to come forward to meet the department’s officer. Failure to do so will result in strict action being taken against you.

My final advice to you would be to have the summons compounded quickly and hope for the best, that is, hope that no action is taken against you.

situation;
last night i was driving using a rented car from terengganu to johor. and then, on my way home, i got stopped by JPJ officer in dungun, terengganu. he assessed my license (im a P holder), then he found out that the car has no P sticker pasted on it. then i got fined.

questions;
1- on the statement, i was asked to attend to the court at dungun on 11/7/2012. can the location of the court be changed to another court in johor?

2-the footnote of the statement says that ‘this offensive is compoundable on or before 11/6/2012′. what does this really mean?

3-from what i understood based on the reading on your articles, i will get 10 demerit points, and will eventually get my p license suspended. does this really mean that i have to sit for the test again in order for me to restore my p license?

4-what is ‘notis PG 1′ ???

5-do u have any advice or suggestion on what should i do?

You have a flimsy defence. Traffic light offense is RM300. Correct, it might lead to your license being withdrawn under Defensive Form Of Driving.

My P license will expire on the 01/04/2012. But unfortunately recently, I was caught going thru a red light, but in my defence it was very early in the morning and the roads were empty. So the cops handed me a summon for going thru the red light.

I read that the fine will lead to cancellation of my driver’s licence. Is is true? Will I have problems upgrading my P to full licence later? Thanks.
