I am holding a Malaysian Driving License (MDL) with a 5 year validity.
1. Can i drive by just using MDL? or do i have to surrender my MDL?
2. If i have to convert to International Driving License, can i apply for a 3 years validity?
3. Can i get back my MDL from JPJ once i am back home? without charges?

From your explanation, I’m uncertain if the police gave you a ticket. If they didn’t, don’t worry about it.

The police said i had made the mistake of running the red traffic light…
and when i told them the truth they just dont believe me.

I was driving to a left turn section and the light is orange when my car’s head has
reach the line and i had no choice but to drive on because i would blocked the cars on the other way.

Then, the police take note something about my license and requested for my ic, and i did not bring my ic by my side at that time .
So, what should i do now ?? and will i get suspended or attending the court ??
