[the_ad id=’7178′]

Langkah-langkah Ke Arah Mencapai Lesen Memandu Kereta (Kelas D)

Berhenti 2 meter belakang garisan. Tarik brek tangan.

Memandu dekat sekolah had laju 30 kmj. Di jalan raya, had laju purata 60 kmj. Pasti dapati kawal stereng dengan baik. Elok jangan “mengular” (tidak stabil). Beri jalan kepada kenderaan dan pengguna lain.

3) Memandu di garisan dua (Double Line)
Jangan potong di garisan kembar. Demikian juga di selekoh.

4) Memandu di Lampu Isyarat
Tuan-tuan hendaklah mematuhi lampu isyarat. Kalau kenderaan belum lepasi garisan kuning, and seharusnya Berhenti.

Jangan guna sebelah tangan semasa memandu. Anda diizinkan memegang dengan satu tangan apabila menukar gear.

Memandu dengan selamat semasa dijalan raya. Elakkan kemalangan berlaku semasa ujian. Apabila sampai balik be institut, hentikan kenderaan dan tarik brek tangan.

Sekian, terima kasih.

Mr.Yap,I have been practising the JPJ undang test and I was curious about the “H”sign in blueand the “Y” sign in yellow ,and although I managed to get a passing score most of the time(just nice 82),I don’t think that I can pass the test.Considering the unfamiliar questions and tricky ones.

    • admin December 21, 2009 at 10:58 pm - Reply

      Dear Emily Leong,

I agree some questions are tricky. Try overcoming the unfamiliar questions before sitting for the test.

Blue “H”, is for hospital. Yellow “Y” denotes fork road or a road branching into 2 directions.

Hope the above meets with your requests.

    Hi,

Can you help clarify when is it when i need to do a car check ( signals, mirrors, viper etc.), is it just once and do part II and part III right after part II is completed or will I be call out for the two parts of the test on two separate occasions.

I am also not proficient in malay, will the testers be able to communicate in english?

And lastly for the slope test, for decending the slope, I pull the handbrakes, rev and slowly release the clutch until there is a small jerk then i release the handbrakes. Right after this do i just depress the accelerator further for the car to move or do i have to release more clutch at the same time?

    Thank You

    • admin January 5, 2010 at 12:37 pm - Reply

      Dear Kevin,

In practical test, Part II is slope. Part III is jalan raya or road test.

      You will be called separately.

Don’t worry! Simple English is sufficient for the test purposes.

Checking car: Check them before starting road test.

Your slope test appears correct. You are advised to depress clutch as you go down the slope.

      Best of luck!

Umm just asking, the “ujian komputer” is all same or just change the question number? By The Way, I fail my Ujian Komputer getting 40/50. So the second time i think i can do it, if the question remain the same or question number changed. I think i fail at the LAW part. KEJARA and the akta, seksyen.

      Dear MZK,

There are 10 objective books in all. Each book has a different set of 50 questions each.

Yes, most people ignore the part on demerit system, A.P.J. ’78 and motorcycles section. Study these parts well! You should be able to pass.

Although I pass my QTI test, but I still cannot remember bhg 3 d.On the road. Can I ask the pegawai about the road during jpj test?because I am so confused with the junction there.
And 2nd,my slope.I can’t control my clutch and fuel pedal properly.Any advise?
Can I use side mirrors as my guide so the tires won’t go off the yellow line easily.Thanks.

You are advised to learn few more times before your practical test. Avoid asking the tester for help, whenever possible. It looks as if your instructor has not done a good job with you. The only alternative for you is to learn up more times.

Yes, you can sue the side mirrors.

Sebelum saya jawap apa-apa, bila mati undang-undang anda? Kalau tamat tempoh undang-undang, terpaksalah menduduki ujian undang-undang semula.

Tapi dia potong 9 markah.
    Bahagian 2 lulus.
    Terima kasih.

    • Cikgu Yap April 3, 2010 at 5:23 am - Reply

Nampaknya anda kemungkinan silap faham bayaran ulangan ujian. Bayaran yang di kenakan sekolah memandu antara RM130 – RM150.

      Bayaran di atas untuk:
      1) 2 kali belajar tambahan (wajib) – RM50

      2) Daftar ulangan ujian oleh institut RM45 – RM55.

      Jumlah bayaran kesemuanya – RM95

    Hi Mr Yap,

I’m not good at driving uphill so my driving instructor offered me to skip the uphill test for RM350, but i think it was too far fetched i’m hesitant about it. What should i do?

    • Cikgu Yap April 8, 2010 at 10:39 pm - Reply

Professionally, I hold my comments on your instructor’s suggestion. The better solution is for you to undergo further classes to improve your slope driving. With further training, I’m sure you’ll improve and be able to do the slope well.

    Hi Cikgu Yap,

    During the jpj test…

    1) Should we always pull our handbrake at every T junction when stopped even if it quiet small kampung rouad near the IM?

    2) What are the best gear combination to pass through bumper area? switch down gear 1 and roll pass the bumper and then stick to gear 1 through the rest of the bumper? or we can slow down to near 0 km/hour with gear 2 and cruise through it.?

    3) whenever we try to stop ( traffic light or turning right &entering main road with dash line) , should we turn our gear down from 3-2-1 sequentially or can we just stop with gear two on and then move out with gear one?

My apologize if those question are too detail for this section but i have some problem getting advice from my instructor and my QTI is soon.

    thanks in advance

    • Cikgu Yap April 8, 2010 at 10:42 pm - Reply

Ideally, it’s suggested you pull up the handbrake at every T-junction, especially during J.P.J. test.

At speed breakers, you sometimes have to go down to gear 1 and slowly control the car over. You can use gear 2, control the car, slowing down to 0 km/h. Nothing wrong with that.

Stopping at traffic lights of junction – ideally for the 2 situations, bring the car down to 2 and stop. Then change to gear 1 and move off again when the lights turn green.

Feel free to air your problems. I welcome your queries.

    hye Mr Yap,

sy nak tanya basic how to drive viva masa test jpj sbb selama saya belajar L sy belajar menggunakan kancil first version…bila test on the road sy di suruh pandu kereta produa viva masalahnya, bila saya lepas clucth enjin viva tu matikan sedangkan saya dah tekan minyak…so, sy nak minta tips how to control the viva so that enjin dia tak mati plus can i request to drive kancil during the JPJ test to the pegawai yang incharge…

    • Cikgu Yap July 22, 2010 at 9:29 pm - Reply

As Viva is bigger and heavier, step the accelerator pedal more to prevent the engine dying off. Leave the clutch 50% up. Control the other 50%, leaving the clutch up slowly as the car moves.

As you institute is using the Viva for the road test, I don’t think they will allow you to use Kancil instead.

    Hallo Mr.Yap,

saya risau bahagian bukit, sbb sy akan test JPJ minggu depan (2/9/2010). Instructor sy takkan buat latihan dah.So sy confuse masa nak melepasi garisan kuning turun drpd bukit.sbb instructor sy ajar, masa nak melepasi bukit kena tekan minyak sampai menunjukkan meter 2-3 dan lepas clutvh perlahan2 sehingga kereta seperti tertujah kehadapan.Tp sy gagal lakukannya, kerana enjin selalu mati bila saya buat kaedah begini.Tetapi adik saya bgtaw bhw instructornya pula ajar angkat clutch sehingga meter 0.5,dan kemudian tekan minyak sehingga meter 4,kemudian turunkan hand brake dan jln.so yg mana betul dan kaedah paling baik,pleaseeeeeeeee..TQ

    Hi Mr Yap,

Im asking on behalf of my mother. Her license expired 3 years ago and she forgot to renew it.

Our question is, what are her options to getting her license again besides sitting for driving test? It is hard for her to drive a small manual car after 30 years of driving an auto car.

And if she does have to take the driving test, is it possible to use a automatic car instead?

Hope you can help with this. We are in a dilemma here! Thanks!

Sorry, your mom’s license has become null and void. She’ll have to resit for Part II (Slope / Parking / 3 Point Turn) and Part III (Road) in a special test. She is exempted from Part I (Highway code) though.

Hi cikgu, my P has expired & JPJ allow me to re sit for part 2 &3 only.
My question is what is the estimated cost to sit for this exam if I don’t opt to take class from driving instructor ?

    • Cikgu Yap February 7, 2011 at 4:57 pm - Reply

Tiap institut ada caranya sendiri. Biasanya, selapas habis slope, angkat tangan.

    • Cikgu Yap March 16, 2011 at 6:14 am - Reply

Nampaknya anda patut pelajari lehin banyak kali lagi.

    helo cikgu Yap,

saya sudah lama mempunyai lesen kereta, sekarang saya nak amik lesen moto pulak. perlukan saya menduduki peperiksaan undang2 dan dapatkan lesen L saya balik, atau saya cuma perlu ambil test membonceng sahaja. untuk pengetahuan cikgu, saya sudah lama naek motor tanpa lesen..=)

Undang-undang tidak perlu. Hadir teori 6 jam untuk motor kemudian keluarkan L motor.

hi teacher Yap…. I’m going for my driving test wt JPJ on the 19th July. I’ve nt much problem wt Part 2..But whn it comes to Part 3 (on the road), I get a little nervous & confuse. I’ve few questions to ask:
    1) Traffic light- whn reaching red t’fic light, can I press clutch & brake&release gear without pulling up hand brake?
    2) Slope- there’s a slope near my driving school range. Whenever I want to go out to the main road, I must go through that slope…I couldn’t control my clutch & accelerator pedals nicely…end up the car stops everytime….
Pls advice me on these two matters teacher Yap.

    • Cikgu Yap July 18, 2011 at 3:17 pm - Reply

At traffic lights, free gear and pull up handbrakes. If you are unable to gear up a slope on the main road, how are you to perform the slope climb maneuver in Part II? I feel you appear ill prepared for your test.

Hi Mr.Yap….I went for my JPJ test and I passed!!! Thanx….and by the way, pls mind your word next time. Previously u replied to my problems as…’ill preprared for the test’. It’s a bit annoying statement for me. As a beginner, I’m sure there are thousands of people out there had same experience with me…from my point of view, driving on the dirving range and driving on the road, are 2 different things…some students totally out of focus once they’re on the road. I mean, we couldn’t implement wht we’ve learnt….we get panic. As for me, I was a total zero knowledge about driving. Never sit on the driver’s seat nor hold a steering in my life….But with the grace of God, He sent me an angel to guide & teach me all through!!!Untill I passed with flying colours!!

I’m going to take exam on 10 September..which is actually my second time.. I got nervous the last time and I think I will be fine but I’m not sure in some parts yet..

    1) when approaching the roundabout, should I brake? Through out my practice, it usually have no car and my tutor always said to just drive on..

    2) I know that gears are changed according to speed but can I just stick on 3rd gear only if I don’t want to change to 4th? I get nervous about changing gears so I want less changing gears..

The tutor car and the test cars are different, may I try the clutch before putting my hand up? The last time, I belum biasa with the clutch so end up mati engine although I released a little bit..probably too fast la

    • Cikgu Yap September 8, 2011 at 7:39 pm - Reply

When entering a roundabout and there are no cars approaching from the right hand side, drive on, ideally using 2nd gear and engaging your signal correctly. During test, do no use 3rd gear only, change also to the 4th gear. Using the 3rd gear alone may cause you to fail. Indeed, test cars may differ slightly from the cars you normally use. You have to adapt to the cars used during the test the best you can. You cannot try the clutch system of the cars used during test.

Hi Cikgu Yap, when i was learning with my instrutor’s car(viva), the car doesn’t have power steering, so i have to “balas” the steering myself. but when i had my pretest yesterday, i found that the car i used(viva) have power steering. so when i have my JPJ test, the car is also equipped with power steering?

    • Cikgu Yap June 6, 2012 at 7:20 am - Reply

Should your institute use a power steering vehicle, them it’s likely you might be given such a vehicle. Anyway, best if you ask the management people.

  55. Joan June 6, 2012 at 1:28 pm - Reply

Hi Cikgu Yap. I thought I left a comment yesterday but I don’t see anymore, anyway I’ll ask again :

    1) How does one ensure that they don’t “termakan jalan orang lain” when they make a turn?

    2) Do you normally have to use the gas pedal when you reverse? The JPJ car I used that day would mati enjin when I reversed unless I gave it some gas, but the cars I used for practice never had this problem and I could just use the clutch and brake.

    • Cikgu Yap June 7, 2012 at 1:44 pm - Reply

A student undergoing a test will fail if he/she crosses the middle lane into another person’s lane. I suggest you take up more driving lessons. Ensure your steering control is good. Poor steering will definitely not get you your license.

Regarding parking and reversing procedures, most instructors seem to teach their students the no stepping on the accelerator procedure. I will not comment on the above method used. All I can say is, it is not the correct way of instructing, that’s all.

Finally, step 2 meter behind T junctions.

      • Joan June 7, 2012 at 9:16 pm - Reply

Thank you for replying, Cikgu Yap. Yes I don’t usually use the accelerator when parking/reversing, but the JPJ car I used on my first test would stall if I didn’t, and I realised if it happened during 3-point-turn I would have failed, so I wanted to be cautious. So no accelerator when doing 3-point-turn either?

One last question, during 3-point-turn, once I’ve shifted to the reverse gear if the car moves forward a bit before it reverses, will that count against me?

I’ll be retaking my test on June 15th, wish me luck :)

        • Cikgu Yap June 8, 2012 at 12:35 pm - Reply

In my opinion, an instructor would have failed in his duty if he/she has not taught his pupil how to master the control of the accelerator well. Permit me to ask you one important question. What have you learnt if you are unable to do the above manoeuvres perfectly?

Has your instructor really imparted the techniques of driving to you at all? Regarding vehicle moving backward/forward during 3 point turns, you are capable to fail. Finally, let me advise you again, you have to use the accelerator during 3 point turns.

          • Joan June 8, 2012 at 7:20 pm

The way my instructor taught me only needed the accelerator for the final step of the 3-point-turn, when moving out of the rectangle. The first 2 steps didn’t require the use of the accelerator sans moving into the rectangle.

And I repeat – I only used the accelerator when reversing toward the parking space because the car I used during my first JPJ test would mati enjin if I didn’t give it some gas. The JPJ officers themselves told me to do this when I told them of the problem.

          • Cikgu Yap June 11, 2012 at 2:27 pm

If that’s the way your instructor has taught you, then ideally you should follow him and hope for the best.

    Dear Cikgu Yap,

i have a question – how to drive a Viva properly on the road? Failed my jalanraya test recently as the JPJ officer told me that I had operated Viva similarly to a Kancil. Need your advice and guidance.

    thanks!

    • Cikgu Yap June 11, 2012 at 2:29 pm - Reply

I can think of a few tips for you:
      i) Press the accelerator pedal more because the car is heavier.
ii) Beware of its power steering.
iii) The brakes are more sensitive, so be careful then stepping on the brake pedal..

The Viva is a larger car. Unlike Kancil, you need to accelerate a little bit more to provide it better power. Also, try leaving the clutch up a little slowly and also carefully.
