In reply to Ammar. If you already have Puspakom inspection certificate, then it's possible. Transfer most probably can be done within a day.

The article is really helpful. I would like to know if you have any dealers number who can finish the transfer for me in one day. I would pay him whatever he asks. Im in a hurry and I am selling my car to someone, I have all morning to do that, up until 3pm, as of later i will be heading to the airport and not sure when i am coming back. P.S: i am a foreigner.

Good afternoon.

I really appreciated on the very useful tips provided by your blog.

I sold my car privately to someone (who working in used car shop). My car still having HP balance as RM29k. He paid me RM 22k for remaining balance, and he also provided me cash of bill when i submit the car to him on 13/02/2012. And i been informed by him, he already full settlement by cheque to bank. Last week i called to bank to check, whether the full settlement being settle or not. What a surprise! He havent’ settle the amount. I called him to check with him, the reason he gave is, his Fixed deposit (FD) is going to due at next month, and he said he will full settle it next month.

Cikgu Yap, what should i do to protect myself?
1. should i write a letter to JPJ to notify them i already sold my car to that buyer and attached with “Cash of bill” copied?
2. should i write a letter to bank also?

or any more suggestion that i should follow?
