It’s hard when a family member or friend pass away.
The loss of a love one is especially difficult and will take time to heal.
If you are an employer in Malaysia, the passing of a staff can mean loss of productivity.
Nonetheless, as an employer, it is your responsibility to inform the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) or the Inland Revenue Board Of Malaysia about your staff passing.
To do that, you have to fill and submit the Form CP57.
CP57 is officially known as Notification of The Demise of Taxpayer.
In Bahasa Malaysia, it is known as Borang Pemberitahuan Kemati Pembayar Cukai.
Inside the form, you have to fill in the following information:
- Declaration of executor / administrator
- Identity card number
- Income tax number
- Telephone number
- Correspondence address of executor / administrator
