If you run a business in Malaysia, it is by-law that you have to pay a 6% Goods Service Tax (GST) to the Royal Malaysian Customs Department or the Jabatan Kastam Di Raja Malaysia.

But before you can pay the GST, you have to register your company to get your GST number.

In order to do that, you have to submit the GST-01 form.

The GST-01 is the Application For Goods And Services Tax Registration.

In Bahasa Malaysia, it is known as Borang Permohonan Pendaftarn Cukai Barang Dan Perkhidmatan.

In the form, you are required to fill in the following information:

• Business registration number
• Applicant identity card number
• Business details
• Financial and accounting details
• Registration details
• Industry codes
• Bank details
• Overseas principal details
• Declaration
