Lesen Belajar Memandu “L” Malaysia
L.D.L. bererti dalam Bahasa Inggeris “Learner Driver’s License”. Untuk belajar memandu, seseorang calon perlu mendapatkan lesen tersebut.
Pelajar-pelajar katahui lesen ini sebagai lesen “L”. Untuk menunggang motorsikal kelas B2 (-250 cc), anda haruslah 16 tahun sekurang-kurangnya.
Kalau hendak membawa motor B Penuh (500+ cc), anda harusnya 21 ke atas. Anda juga semestinya 21 tahun ke atas sekiranya hendak membawa kenderaan besar umpamanya lori, trektor dan treler.
Pihak kerajaan kini dalam usaha menurunkan harga bayaran lesen motor dari RM20 ke RM2 saja. Berita mengatakan harga baru ini akan di turunkan berkuat kuasa 1 September 2009.
Sekiranya hendak mengeluarkan lesen “L”, anda hendak bekalkan institut atau sekolah memandu dengan butir-butir apa? Bekalkan:
1) 1 salinan MyKad 2 belah.
2) 2 keping gambar berwarna.
3) Keputusan atau sijil undang-undang Kod Jalanraya.
4) Sijil JPJ L2B keluaran institute.
5) Bayaran lesen (RM20 motor) dan (RM30 bagi kelas-kelas lain).
Memang benar lesen “L” di anggap sebagai lesen sementara. Tetapi, jangan sewenag-wenang melanggar peraturan jalanraya. Anda boleh kena saman seperti jenis lesen lain juga.
Sewaktu menunggang motorsikal berplet “L”, bawalah lesen “L” bersama.
Semasa belajar memandu kereta dengan instructor ataupun pengajar, bawalah “L” bersama juga.
Di ingatkan motor berplet “L tidak di izinkan membawa pemboncit di belakang.
Bawa juga lesen “L” apabila buat Q.T.I. atau Ujian Pra dengan pegawai-pegawai institut.
Semasa hendak memohon ujian, tidak kira apa jenis pun, salinan “L” hendak juga di kepilkan bersama Borang 4 serta borang-borang lain. Sekiranya kurang faham, tanyalah instructor anda.
“L” juga hendak di bawa bersama semasa hari ujian Praktikal anda. Pastikan tempoh masa “L” anda tidak luput atau pun mati. Tidak membawa “L” semada ujian, sudah pasti anda tidak di benarkan menguji.
Selepas habis ujian praktikal, pastikan anda dapatkan kembali lesen “L” dari tangan penguji.
Sekiranya anda berjaya, bekalkan butir-butir di bawah ini kepada institut atau sekolah memandu anda:
1) Borang JPJ L2B (kad ujian).
2) 2 keping gambar warna berukuran paspot.
3) Kepingan fotostat MyKad 2 belah.
4) Bayaran “P” untuk 2 tahun (RM60).
5) Bayaran upah proses (RM2 – RM5).
Inilah artikal serba ringkas L.D.L. atau “L” permulaan hingga ke hujung anda belajar, sama ada kereta ataupun motorsikal di institut atau sekolah memandu.
Walaupun sudah mencapai “P”, simpanlah “L” dengan baik. Manalah tahu, semasa hilang “P” kelak, ia boleh di buat rujukan!

d) “L” lesen untuk Kelas B2

Lesen B2 mati lebih 2 tahun bererti undang anda telah pun tamat. Kalau demikian, terpaksa duduki semula Kursus K.P.P. 5 jam. Kemudian ambil balik ujian undang-undang komputer.

Maaf, penjelasan saya olah buat anda kepala pening. Memang benar kerajaan baru-baru ini telah mengarahkan institut memandu supaya turunkan kos ambil lesen motor B2 kepada RM201 saja.
Bagaimanapun, harga di atas tidak termasuk servis caj pihak sekolah memandu lagi. Paling elok, cari sebuah sekolah memandu dan bincang dengannya masalah anda.
oh tidak mengapa cikgu, oh RM201 tidak termasuk caj2 lain ya..
cikgu ada cadangan mana2 sekolah memandu yang harga full B2 yang terendah sekali? hehee~ ^_^

Borang Pra L berbeza dari atu institut ke institut lain. Seeloknya, gunakan borang institut yang sama.

Kalau Labuan, sebahagian Malaysia, sudah tentu boleh guna keputusan ujian komputer di tempat lain. Elok sekali pastikan keputusan itu di sahkan terlebih oleh pihak Labuan.

“L” normally last s 3 months from date license issued. If “L” expired, no you can’t sit for J.P.J. practical test.

I’m a holder of Class D and B-Full ‘L’ license. I’ve held my B-Full ‘L’ license for almost 20 months now. Planning to take my ‘P’ test very soon. I’ve attended 2 hours of compulsory learning to-date.
Can I take the QTI followed by the JPJ test without having to complete a full 8-hour learning? Is there any provision to allow this? e.g recommendation by instructor, etc.

In most cases, a student is advised to undergo a minimum of 4 hours training. However, this requirement varies from institutes to institutes. I suggest you talk to the institute people regarding your problem.

hi cikgu yap,my driving instructor passed away recently and i was not able to take back my SM4 until now. Will SM4 expire? and if it does ,how do i get a new one?
Contact the office where your instructor is attached. From the computer records, a new copy of SM4 can be made. With this, only then can you test.

Up to now i already did 6hour of practical driving but until now i havent really saw or requested to sign sm4 form. Is it something unusual?
At the same time, i also havent really saw my L license. As a paying student, do i have right to request to keep the L license?
Currently i am trap within a unsatisfying instructor and institute, they rushing me to QTI in few weeks even before i am totally prepared and finish all my driving hours. I have thought of insisting my right but i afraid a serious argument will make me trapped even more.
If i were to consider changing institute, which steps should i take? what document i should insist on getting? what extra cost would be incurred?

Normally SM4 to be signed during pra ujian. Yes, you can request to see / keep your “L”. Request politely that your driving school / institutes teach at a pace you wish/ Ask them not to rush you.
When you with to change driving school / institute, ask for things belonging to you:
i) KPP certificate (JPJL2A)
ii) “L” license
iii) SM4
iv) 6 hour theory certificate (JPJL2B)
v) Calculate number of times you have learnt
Discuss with the driving school proprietor regarding all of the above. My suggestion is, reach an amicable understanding.

Yes, you should keep your L license not the instructor. My case is same as yours. I’m looking for a new instructor now and he was holding my L license. But I got it back this morning, by creating story that I doubt my IC was written wrong, then he showed. So I tell him I WILL HOLD the L license ^0^, and tell him that I will be away for weeks and stop for the lessons, while I’m trying to finish lesson and get the driving license in the shortest time.
As long as I have my L license and the e-driving card, never thought of what sm4 form. I will get advise from the new instructor. No need to make a mess with them, you are the one who paid for this driving lesson, you have the right to change teacher if he is incapable.
By the way, Cikgu Yap, any good recommendation to good instructor???

Your Singapore license can be converted back to Malaysian license. Yes, you can change it for 5 years. Previous Malaysian license will automatically be null and void when you obtained a Singapore license.

I just only finished my JPJ test for class D only on 13 April and passed. The center call me to pay RM 70 for P license. May I know, after I pay the RM 70 only they will do the P license or I will get the P license immediately after I pay RM 70?

Usually, after paying RM70, your “P” will be processed. It would need a few days to get it ready.
After passing a D license, you are exempted from further undang-undang test. You need not repeat the test.
“L” license for B2 is RM20.
Institutes teach B2 motor lessons. Each lesson lasts 1 hour.
Motor and car license is RM30 per year. If you have only a car license, its also RM30 too.

Ideally, take your “L” along. Also your Borang 4 too. And your certificates JPJ L2A and JPJ L2B also.

Demi keluarkan lesen B2 anda, pasti ada “L” ujian. Tanpa “L”, taidak boleh keluarkan B2.

Dear cikgu, saye nak tanye sikit, lesen L saya bermula dari 30/05/2008, i keep renew my licence up today, and last time, mak cik kat pejabat tue kate i dah tak bleh renew coz my licence dah nak expired on 20/05/2010. i intend to take my p licence this month. Tapi 20 dah expired, so i tak sempat nak ambil exam before the expiring of my licence. Will jpj considered me to renew my licence??? please help…..
Kiranya ada sekolah memandu yang membantu anda, tentu ianya dapat nasihatkan anda. Undang-undang motor and boleh tahan 2 tahun saja. Nampaknya, undang-undang anda telahpun luput. L anda dah tidah boleh di baharui lagi. Anda harus hadir balik kursus 5 jam. Kemudian duduk balik dan lulus undang-undang sekali lagi baru boleh keluarkan L yang baru.

I apply a package from a driving school without doing much research about the price, it’s too expensive for me comparing to what others offer. I already took the KPP course, and already paid RM100 during registration. However I have not taken my JPJL2A certificate yet.
It is my own fault that I accept their offer right away, but should I want to change to another institution, what should I do? If I am able to get the certificate, am I able to use it to proceed the workshop theory and practical (pre L)?

In the future, always check prices before committing yourself. The RM100 you’ve paid nearly covers your 5 hour KPP course.
If you should decide to switch driving school, you should do the following:
1) Try to get your JPJ L2A certificate.
2) If you can’t, do not worry. Probably your name would be keyed into the computer system of privately owned test centres across towns.
3) You can still register for Highway Code test anyway.
4) You can only proceed to the 6 hour theory course if you pass (3) above.

Kursus motor yand di luluskan kerajaan berjumlah RM201. Tetapi sekolah memandu / institut layak meletakkan wang servis. Anda harus tanya sekolah / institut caj mereka. Dapatkan lesen sebelum 12/7/2010, mission impossible!

You can still renew your license. RM30 for 1 year, RM60 for 2 years and RM90 for 3 years.

hi teacher, my bahagian 1 LDL will expire on 12 sept 10, when i went to renew my LDL last month i got 3 month period from august 10 to november 10. so my question is my L still valid after 12 sept? if cant why i got renew then?
You can use your L til November 10. But your highway code expires on Sept 12. After the above date, you can no longer test your practical. You have to resit for the above highway code.
so what u mean is i cannot sit for the JPJ test after 12 sept? i have allready finished compulsory 8 hour training and will go for QTI tomorrow, but there is no available date for JPJ test before 12 sept. so if cannot sit for JPJ after 12 sept and have to resit highway code, does that mean i have do everything all over again? from KPP to QTI?
If your highway code expires on 12 Sept 2010, you cannot sit for your practical test by JPJ. You will have to attend the 5 hour KPP course again and sit for the highway code.
